Fajita Seasoning

Our house goes through so much fajita seasoning. One day, I ran out of the packets but luckily had some ingredients on hand so I started making my own. If you find yourself in the same situation and need fajita seasoning in a pinch, here’s the recipe.

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine cornstarch, onion powder, chili powder, salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, sugar, and garlic powder in small bowl. Store in small container with lid until ready to use.

2 teaspoons of this seasoning is equivalent to 1 fajita seasoning packet. This recipe makes equivalent to 6 fajita seasoning packets.
